Why you should add a serum to your skin care routine.

Serums come in many types of formulas that contain highly concentrated ingredients that easily absorbs into skin.

What can serums do for you? Generally serums are used to  help a number of skin conditions such as redness, discoloration, dryness and clogged pores.  It is used after toning the skin and before moisturizing with your favorite moisturizer. Applied twice daily, serums do moisturize the skin, but it is a light weight product that will penetrate the skin's surface so that highly concentrated ingredients will target certain skin conditions mentioned above. Always use a moisturizer to give a protective barrier will help keep moisture in the skin

What should you look for when deciding which serum to use? The benefits of adding a serum to your skin care routine is that it is packed with concentrated exfoliates such as glycolic acid  which helps to lighten discoloration by exfoliating the surface layer of the skin. Another popular type of ingredient found in skin care is vitamin c, this helps to brighten skin and protect from free radicals. Other vitamins such as vitamin A and E help with cell growth that can give you a youthful glow.
As mentioned in my previous post hyaluronic acid  acts as a humectant and retains moisture to the skin which helps with dry skin.
